Fischer JETplast Hintergrundelement

DEVELOPMENT & SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainable development
since 1970

In the 1970s Volker Fischer developed a process for recycling cured thermoset molding compounds. These could be ground, screened and used again in new products.
At the end of the 1980s, the recycled granulate was turned into a thermoset blast medium, which was produced for the US military to strip the paint off the chassis of fighter jets. Our blast medium was approved to MIL-P-85891 under the name “FISCHER JETplast®.
Nowadays, FISCHER JETplast® has been approved for both military and civil aviation by companies such as Airbus, Boeing, Lufthansa Technik, MTU, GE, Rolls Royce, Pratt & Whitney, etc.

Sustainability

FISCHER JETplast® is produced in different quality grades. Non-cured thermoset plastics are removed and offered in Type A as inexpensive blast media for industrial applications.
Fischer GmbH has a new energy control center allowing the company to increase energy efficiency in production. Current peaks are avoided. The entire lighting system has been converted to LED and the diesel fork-lifts have been replaced by electric vehicles.
An energy audit was successfully completed.

Fischer GmbH avoids using stretch wrap and other unnecessary packaging materials whenever it can to keep the amount of waste as low as possible. Recycled bags, cardboard boxes and pallets are used as much as possible.
Waste from raw material deliveries as well as from the company’s own production is sorted and recycled separately.
